Assistant Store Manager

Role Overview The Assistant Store Manager supports store operations with a focus on customer service, merchandise management, and team supervision. They assist with scheduling, training, safety compliance, and ensuring adherence to company policies. The role includes opening and closing the store, maintaining accurate inventory, implementing planograms, and managing cash handling and security procedures. Key Responsibilities Provide superior customer service and operate cash registers. Assist in employee scheduling, training, and safety meetings. Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, and display according to planograms. Maintain inventory accuracy, control damages, and oversee markdowns. Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash deposit procedures. Support store management in their absence. Qualifications & Skills Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational attention to detail. Ability to interpret operational documents and perform mathematical calculations. Knowledge of cash handling, security, and safety policies. Experience in retail and supervisory roles preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent. Work Environment Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
