Mulesoft Developer

As a Mulesoft Developer, you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice developing APIs and integration capabilities using the Mulesoft platform to connect data, services, and systems to help our customers achieve their mission. We are looking for candidates with experience with cloud platform services, understanding business requirements and implementing complex integrations. You will work with Technical/Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into well‑architected solutions that best leverage the Mulesoft platform. Contributions Develop APIs and integrations using the MuleSoft platform across a broad range of software programming tasks to ensure that their systems integrations are functional Leverage MuleSoft’s MUnit testing framework to build and execute integration verification scripts, including data validation, flow tracking, retry logic, error handling, etc. Test and examining code written by others and analyze results Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats Document as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations Create and provide technical documentation that explains upcoming or existing integrations to non-technical individuals. Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided Identify technical problems, perform root cause analysis, and develop software updates and ‘fixes’ Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers Act as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team members Present regular status updates and provide cross training to other team members. Qualifications Required Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Tier 3 Background Investigation Security Clearance BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience 3 Years of Experience with the Mulesoft platform to include: AnyPoint Studio Mulesoft CloudHub 2.0 MuleSoft versions 4.6 and above Certifications: Mulesoft Certified Developer – Level 2 COMPTIA Security+ or similar cybersecurity certification Experience with PCE architecture, development, and deployment. 3 Years of Experience with one or more clouds (i.e. AWS, Azure, or GCP) 3 Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket 3 Years of Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages 3 Years of Experience with Salesforce Integrations 3 Years of Experience with Cloud and Hybrid Integrations Preferred Certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner AWS Solution Architect Associate Azure Developer Associate 3 Years of application development experience in an Agile environment Experience implementing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes Experience designing, implementing, and documenting APIs Experience utilizing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines, CircleCI, TravisCI Experience implementing Automated Testing frameworks to test APIs and integrations Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills About Steampunk Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000 to $170,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
