AMG & Associates, Inc. has an immediate need to hire a Project Engineer for a project located in Altadena, CA. The Project Engineer (PE) supports the Superintendent and Project Manager on an assigned project. The PE oversees the scheduling and forecasting of the project as well as maintaining and updating reports. PE communicates with the Architect and PM and builds the Operations & Maintenance Manuals throughout the project.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manages submittal process
• Manages RFI process
• Assist with Change Order pricing
• Distribute RFPs
• Issue Subcontractors’ Standard Notices
• Issue Purchase Order requests
• Quality check delivered materials
• Release materials
• Update drawings, create a conforming set
• Maintain project directory
• Conduct new worker orientation
• Conduct safety, SWPPP walks

Education and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Project Engineer is preferred
• Proven experience in project management or an engineering role
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Knowledge of project engineering principles and practices
