For more information visit About the Role The HSE Manager will develop and implement Health, Safety and Environmental programs, procedures, associated training, and guidance documents for North America. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, healthy, and safety regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support achievement and implementation of OSHA and other regulatory agency requirements. Lead incident/injury investigations and implementation of corrective actions. Educate and train project team members in safety requirements, best practices in incident preventions. Perform health and safety inspections, assessments, and audits Coordinate, review, and monitor non-routine work activities that have the potential to adversely impact operations, the environment, or health & safety. Develops project plans and timelines based on strategic EHS goals and objectives. Partner with departments to recognize hazards and prevent injuries. Conduct training including but not limited to new hire orientation, compliance, forklift, scissor lift, LOTO, Machine guarding, chemical hygiene, etc. Administer EH&S programs driving participation, data entry, evaluation, and reporting. Maintain required records for safety training, safety inspections, and other EHS tasks. Answer questions and assist associates, supervisors, and contractors on EHS related matters. Manage safety shoe and prescriptive eyewear programs. Coordinate hazardous waste shipments Disposal of hazardous waste in appropriate waste container and transport to central accumulation area Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements 5 - 7 years of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) experience and/or chemical safety in a manufacturing/industrial environment. Bachelor's degree in Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Chemistry, or Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or related field Knowledge of environmental, health and safety policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations. Experience conducting incident evaluations to identify root cause and corrective actions. Two years of general industry safety experience strongly preferred. OSHA 30 General Industry strongly preferred.
