Summary About the Position: This is an open continuous announcement. "Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. This position is located at the Martin Army Community Hospital at Fort Benning, Georgia. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Recruitment incentive MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates. - Receives requests in order of priority from physicians and other health care providers.
- Assists the Radiologist during CT guided biopsy, aspiration or injection procedures.
- Assists the department to maintain compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements such as the American College of Radiology (ACR), Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the Joint Commission (JC).
- Performs a variety of routine and non-routine complex radiographic examinations. Receives patient through specific identifiers in accordance with established procedures.
- Determine critical and emergency CT priority scans order based on the severity of the patient's condition.
- Ensures patients' forms are completed, signed and scanned into the PACS system.
- Appointment may be subject to suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- All applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random drug testing, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. In making this determination, the agency may consider your performance and conduct; agency needs and interests; whether your continued employment supports organizational or Government goals; and whether it promotes the efficiency of the Federal service. Continued employment requires written certification that it advances the public interest.

- Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
