job summary:
Join a cutting-edge leader in scientific innovation as a Manufacturing Technician in Madison, WI! In this collaborative 1-year contract role, you will build and test complex scientific instruments that directly support groundbreaking life sciences production. Working a predictable Monday through Friday schedule (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), you'll join an engaging work cell environment with potential for permanent conversion based on performance and business needs.

responsibilities:

• Build, test, and calibrate complex mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies to meet strict quality standards.
• Complete final instrument installations according to precise technical specifications.
• Follow standardized work instructions for assembling, material handling, and inventory verification.
• Utilize hand tools and perform fine electronic assembly/soldering tasks safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate actively with cross-functional team members to solve technical problems and drive continuous improvement.

 
qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet physical requirements: occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent lifting up to 25 lbs, and constant lifting up to 10 lbs.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Preferred:

• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, various hand tools, and soldering.
