Immigration Paralegal

Immigration ParalegalA growing immigration law firm is seeking an Immigration Paralegal to join its Charleston office. This position is ideal for a highly organized, client-focused professional who is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate the immigration process.The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys and clients, assisting with case preparation, document collection, government filings, and client communication. Spanish fluency is strongly preferred, and Portuguese language skills are a significant plus.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and file immigration petitions and applications with USCIS, EOIR, DOS, and other government agenciesAssist attorneys with family-based, humanitarian, removal defense, and other immigration mattersCommunicate regularly with clients regarding case status and document requirementsDraft correspondence, forms, affidavits, and supporting documentationMaintain accurate case files and deadlinesTrack case progress and follow up on outstanding documentationConduct legal and factual research as neededAssist with attorney preparation for hearings, interviews, and court appearancesProvide exceptional customer service to clients from diverse backgroundsQualificationsPrevious immigration paralegal or immigration legal assistant experience preferredKnowledge of immigration forms and procedures, including USCIS filingsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systemsProfessional, compassionate, and client-service oriented approachPreferred QualificationsBilingual English/Spanish- a must!!!!!Portuguese language skills are a major plusExperience working directly with immigration clientsExperience with family-based immigration, removal defense, asylum, naturalization, or humanitarian casesWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation based on experienceOpportunity to join a growing and collaborative legal teamMeaningful work that directly impacts the lives of clients and their familiesProfessional development and growth opportunitiesSupportive and team-oriented cultureIf you are passionate about immigration law and enjoy helping clients through complex legal processes, we encourage you to apply.
