Responsibilities Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cable, and fiber optic cabling Test installed cable (Fluke or similar testers) Punch down voice and data jacks Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, etc. Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights) Read and interpret blueprints/system layouts Experience terminating and installing RJ45, coaxial, and fiber optic connectors Requirements 2+ years commercial/industrial low voltage experience Experience working with manufacturers such as Leviton, Superior Essex, General Cable, Belden, CommScope, and Panduit Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment Experience with OTDR, power meter, and fiber test equipment Working knowledge of telecom and data networks BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus Manufacturer or FOA (Fiber Optic Association) certifications a plus Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots) Willingness to travel to job sites within Memphis, TN, and the surrounding areas as needed Why Work with Next Level Technician in Memphis, TN?
