Specification Writer

Talon Hiring Solutions has a client that is looking for a Specification Writer in the Greater Montgomery, AL area to help create clear, accurate, and forward-thinking specifications that set our projects up for success. In this role, you'll collaborate with talented architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure every design translates seamlessly from concept to construction. What you will do Write and manage project specifications that align with drawings and client goals Partner with project teams to create comprehensive project manuals Research and recommend innovative products, materials, and systems Stay on top of codes, regulations, and industry standards to keep projects compliant and cutting‑edge Support QA/QC reviews and construction administration to ensure quality and accuracy Contribute to firm‑wide standards and tools that raise the bar across all projects What you will bring Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 3–5 years of experience writing specifications or working in a technical architectural role Strong knowledge of CSI MasterFormat, building materials, construction methods, and codes Proficiency in specification software Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal A detail‑driven, highly organized mindset with the ability to thrive under multiple deadlines A collaborative spirit and a love for problem‑solving About Talon Hiring Solutions At Talon Hiring Solutions, we specialize in connecting talented individuals with companies that value their skills and expertise.
