Senior Property Tax Analyst

This position is located at our corporate office in Raleigh, NC and reports to the Property Tax Manager. Martin Marietta has a vast real estate portfolio and mining operation across 28 states, the Bahamas and Canada which provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful financial impact as a property tax professional. The Senior Property Tax Analyst supports the property tax compliance and planning efforts for Martin Marietta’s portfolio of properties and is responsible for managing real and business personal property tax compliance, assessments, and related financial reporting for an assigned portfolio. This role requires strong technical property tax knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while driving results. The analyst will work closely with internal teams and external consultants to ensure accurate and timely property tax payments and reporting. Key Responsibilities Manage multi‑state real estate and business personal property tax compliance for an assigned portfolio of properties, ensuring adherence to local and state property tax regulations and filing deadlines. Prepare, maintain, and reconcile monthly property tax accruals, forecasts, and true‑ups using JDE and BlackLine for the assigned portfolio of properties. Analyze real estate and business personal property tax data using Microsoft Excel and PTMS to prepare reports and analyses related to property tax liabilities and savings opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and taxing jurisdiction personnel to support and optimize property tax strategies. Adhere to and maintain Company and SOX compliance, policies, and procedures. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive real estate and business personal property tax compliance experience in a manufacturing industry preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience using JDE, BlackLine, PTMS property tax software, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization. Ability to manage competing deadlines while working independently and collaboratively, exercising sound judgment and demonstrating accountability for results in a fast‑paced environment. CMI (Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation) or CPA preferred; not required.
