Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Acute night shift position requiring Epic EMR experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Acute unit (Unit 9) within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Epic EMR used; experience is required
• Patient population spans all age groups including neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required, with experience in the specialty within the last 3 months
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active, unrestricted license with no prior disciplinary history required
• BSN preferred
• 2 supervisor references required: one from the past year and one from within the past two years

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care consistent with the medical plan for an assigned patient group per shift
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care delivery
• Incorporates patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall care plan
• Delegates patient care tasks to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
• Position is represented by the California Nurses Association (CNA)
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
