Registered Nurse CVOR - OPEN HEART SURGERY, Full Time, Varied

Responsibilities Perform interventions identified for each nursing diagnosis on the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care. Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate patient care needs to all members of the multidisciplinary health care team. Conduct patient/family education appropriate to the patient's age, learning needs, level of understanding and readiness to learn; include family/significant others when appropriate. Document nursing interventions and patient teaching. Qualifications Minimum two (2) years’ experience in cardio‑thoracic/coronary artery bypass surgery. Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program. Written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills. Basic organizational and computer skills. Registered Nurse with current California RN license. Current BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association. Current ACLS certification. Current PALS certification preferred. CNOR preferred.
