Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Overview

The Customer Service Associate is an entry-level role responsible for providing exceptional customer support and serving as the primary internal contact for customer inquiries and order management. This position supports customers throughout the entire order lifecycle, from order entry through delivery and invoicing, while ensuring accurate communication and outstanding service.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Customer Account Representatives with daily customer support activities.
• Process customer orders from order entry through delivery and invoicing.
• Enter and complete transactions using multiple business systems.
• Process incoming orders and verify pricing and product availability.
• Provide customers with order status updates.
• Answer customer questions regarding pricing, product availability, and services.
• Process customer complaints, returns, credits, and account updates accurately and promptly.
• Respond to requests for product documentation, including MSDS and certifications.
• Maintain accurate customer account records, notes, special instructions, emails, and phone documentation.
• Process new customer account requests and customer information updates.
• Communicate customer forecasts, personnel changes, receiving schedules, and other relevant information to internal departments.
• Coordinate order changes with Product Supply Representatives and Shipping.
• Participate in customer calls and meetings alongside sales representatives.
• Share market and customer intelligence gathered through customer interactions.
• Assist sales teams in reducing aged inventory.
• Follow company quality standards and applicable operating procedures.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Meet productivity and time management expectations.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience in: Customer Service, Administrative Support, Sales Support
• Manufacturing or OEM industry experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional phone and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
• SAP experience preferred.
• Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing or industrial customer service experience.
• Experience supporting inside sales or account management teams.
• ERP system experience, preferably SAP.

Work Environment

• Monday through Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
• Fast-paced customer service and manufacturing support environment.
• Frequent interaction with customers, sales teams, shipping, and supply chain personnel.
• Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
