If you are looking to be a part of an open, supportive team and receive exciting challenges that promote personal and professional growth, look no further than BNBuilders!The Project Engineer is responsible for reading and understanding the construction design documents and specifications, ability to perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work, overall trade management and coordination, and some level of exposure to BIM.Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 annually (companywide)Benefits include group medical, vision, and dental insurance, company-paid short and long-term disability plans, group life insurance, AD&D plans, untracked/unmeasured vacation, sick leave accrued at 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with an annual carryover of 80 hours, 9 paid holidays each year, paid parental leave, annual discretionary bonus based on company profitability and your manager's assessment of your performance, a 401(k) savings plan under which BNB matches the first 3 percent of your deferral with a 100% match and the next two percent with a 50% match for a total matching contribution of 4% of your pay. You can participate in this long-term plan after you complete 1 year of service (with at least 1,000 hours).Job Responsibilities:Coordinate with project architects, designers, owners, and field personnel.Responsible for generating Request for Information (RFI) and submittals.Manage project subcontractors.Act as the information hub to ensure continuity of work.Offer technical information to project supervisor to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.May coordinate change orders, expedite material and job site equipment, assist in preparation of estimates, and compile data to assist in analyzing project progress.Monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis; provide timely and accurate quality reports, and raise issues to Project Manager or Superintendent, as appropriate.Inspect all work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.Perform other related duties as assigned in support of business needs and the essential functions of the role.Qualifications:Exercise general supervision of multiple job sites to monitor and manage projects during each phase of construction; including but not limited to pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-constructionGraduate or pending graduate of a four-year degree program in Engineering or Construction Management.Full knowledge of computer software, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite.Working knowledge of Autocad or Revit a plus.Broad knowledge of LEAN and BIM techniques.Experience with BIM is a plus.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.Good oral and written communication skills.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
