3rd Shift (C) Instr/Elect Craftsperson, Dayton

About the Role Instrument / Electrician (Off‑Shift). Responsible for safe operation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems that produce high‑quality ingredients. Responsibilities Fabricate, maintain, install, repair, calibrate, test, assemble, and inspect electrical installations such as conductors, grounding systems, conduit, lighting, control devices, circuit breakers, switch gear, motors, generators, transformers, and timing devices. Work with instrument construction materials, including pneumatic, electronic, and hydraulic components, metal, plastic, and glass, and install tubing as needed. Use hand and power tools: electric drills, soldering and brazing equipment, drill press, threading equipment, power saw, bending equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and inspection of alarms, alarm panels, electrical interlocks, and other safety devices. Read and work from drawings, repair and operating instruction manuals, and written and oral instructions. Follow prescribed procedures to check and test electrical and instrument loops before production release. Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean and orderly. Work with and assist other skilled tradesmen. Work under close supervision and assist PCS engineer in maintaining electrical schematics, loop diagrams, calibration records, and other documentation. Apply NFPA70E work‑site safety standards. Shift Schedule C Shift: 10pm – 6am (7days on/2days off, 7days on/1day off, 7days on/4days off – repeats every 28days). Off‑Shift positions may also be scheduled on D shift. Physical Requirements Lift up to 50pounds without mechanical assistance. Use hand tools above shoulders, under ergonomically stressful conditions, and under heavy force. Work in elevated positions with hand tools and fall restraint equipment. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE). Compensation & Benefits Starting pay $35.52/hr, with potential to advance to $38.14/hr. Shift differential $0.85/hr.
