Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; occasional 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM shifts as needed) | Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed | No Call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups, including cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health populations
• Support a STEMI and Stroke-designated facility , delivering timely interventions in high-acuity situations
• Collaborate within a department that interfaces with a cath lab, women's health, and stroke care specialties
• Float to other system campuses as needed
• Complete unit-based orientation modules (non-billable, averaging 2–4 hours, completed during orientation)
• Pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed) prior to assignment start

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale), and PALS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• STEMI and Stroke facility experience required
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible; current driver's license required to verify address

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with behavioral health populations in an emergency setting
• Familiarity with cath lab or women's health support workflows
• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are welcome to apply)
