Build Up Physical Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Work Environment

The role is primarily conducted onsite in the homes of less mobile patients, allowing for a comfortable, familiar environment conducive to rehabilitation. The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours ranging from 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM, providing a balanced work-life atmosphere. In this supportive environment, you will collaborate closely with a cohesive team of experienced healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations, creating tailored treatment plans that focus on rehabilitation goals.
• Utilize therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and patient education to support recovery and maximize function.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercises, gait training, and daily living activities, ensuring clarity and understanding of their rehabilitation process.
• Provide ongoing education to patients and their families regarding care strategies and exercise regimes, fostering an environment of empowerment and participation.
• Document patient progress accurately and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Implement various treatment techniques, including massage, stretching, and myofascial release, to alleviate discomfort and enhance mobility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will primarily assist adults recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or conditions that impact their functionality and mobility. Your role will be critical in connecting with patients who are often navigating significant physical challenges, thereby requiring a high level of empathy and communication skills to guide them through their rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• A minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience, with a strong focus on orthopedic conditions.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills are essential for delivering effective patient-centered care.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling you to collaborate efficiently with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience working in an outpatient or home care setting is valued, providing a context for understanding patient conditions and limitations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads and prioritize patient needs effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
