Dental Hygienist
Tech Observer
Duration: 10 Months with a possibility of extension Job Summary Health Department is seeking a Clinical Dental Hygienist to provide preventive and clinical dental hygiene services in a public health setting. The ideal candidate will perform routine hygiene procedures, educate patients on oral health, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with dentists to deliver quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, sealants, fluoride applications, and SDF applications, and administer local anesthesia. Conduct oral health assessments, periodontal evaluations, oral cancer screenings, and take dental X-rays. Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, nutrition, tobacco cessation, and overall oral health. Maintain infection control, sterilize instruments, document patient records, and assist with clinic productivity goals. Collaborate with dentists on treatment plans and patient referrals. Qualifications: Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license. Minimum 1 year of clinical dental hygiene experience. Current CPR certification. Valid driver's license. Ability to pass a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) background check. Schedule : Day Shift | Public Health Setting | Regional travel may be required. #J-18808-Ljbffr Tech Observer
