Responsible for following ALL Plant Safety Rules and OSHA Rules: understand and follow plant safety rules including/but not limited to safe lifting practices, safety on machine operations, etc./liliResponsible for always following all FDA GMPS./liliDirectly supervise employees and temporary employees in the production line. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, approving timecards, and directing work./liliTrains and monitors employees on proper work procedures to ensure maximum productivity with minimum waste./liliNotifies management of areas for improvement and executes measures to streamline operations./liliWorks the line as needed and to fill in any gaps./liliResponsible for returning all complete documentation at the end of the workday and/or shift to the Quality Department./liliResponsible for communicating any mechanical/electrical issues to maintenance and the Production Manager immediately./liliEffectively interfaces and coordinates between other departments and employees./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongEducation, Work Experience, Skill Requirements Certifications:/strong/ppMinimum Education (or substitute experience) required:/pulliSome college preferred/li/ulpMinimum Experience required:/pulliMinimum 2 years of related experience as a Production Supervisor./liliExperience with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in the food industry preferred./liliExperience supervising employees and temporary employees highly preferred./liliKnowledge of OSHA and other federal requirements./li/ulpSkills Required:/pulliExcellent communication skills./liliAbility to read, speak and write in English./liliAbility to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) plant safety and OSHA requirements./liliProven success with working in a team environment./li/ulpAdditional Information:/pulliExposure to food allergens, wheat, nuts, coconut, soy products./li/ulpstrongSalary:/strong/pp$25.00 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential ($26.50 total). Some overtime each shift required.
