Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Part time Nurse Practitioner
Location: Columbus, OH 43222
Shift: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (No weekends/holidays)
Hours/Week:
Duration: At least 3 months from projected start date
Minimum Education: Master s Degree

Job Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced nursing care and clinical oversight, including:
1. Patient Care & Clinical Duties
• Develop and implement patient care plans within scope of licensure.
• Monitor and manage chronic illnesses; perform routine physical exams and assess acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications and provide treatments as appropriate.
• Complete discharge planning and follow-up care.
• Perform minor procedures as allowed by training and competency.
• Evaluate need for referrals and order/review lab, imaging, and diagnostic tests.
• Administer vaccinations and immunizations.
2. Medical Documentation & Record Keeping
• Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up according to professional standards and policies.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership for quality oversight.
3. Clinical Leadership
• Provide guidance and direction to registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, phlebotomists, and other care staff.
4. Professional Development & Committee Participation
• Attend professional meetings, continuing education, and in-service training.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and serve as a clinical resource for patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications
• Valid RN license and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Certification by Ohio Board of Nursing for advanced practice, with authority to prescribe per ORC 4723.
• Knowledge of advanced nursing practices, HIPAA regulations, state and federal nursing policies, clinical procedures, and healthcare program management.
• Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving skills, and effective patient communication.
