This is an Anticipated Opening Position Summary The Greater Latrobe School District is seeking a qualified, passionate, and dedicated High School Mathematics Teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction across various high school math courses, fostering a supportive classroom environment, and helping all students develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and mathematical literacy. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons aligned with the Pennsylvania Core Standards for Mathematics. Design and implement instructional strategies that meet the diverse needs of all learners, including providing necessary accommodations for students with IEPs and 504 plans. Administer regular formative and summative assessments to measure student progress, using the data to guide and adjust instructional practices. Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and organized classroom environment that promotes positive student behavior and academic focus. Integrate educational technology and appropriate learning tools effectively into daily lessons to enhance student understanding. Collaborate actively with department peers, participate in Professional Learning Communities and engage in ongoing district professional development. Maintain open, timely, and professional communication with parents, guardians, and administration regarding student progress and well-being. Keep accurate, up-to-date, and confidential records of student attendance, grades, and academic growth. Perform standard supervisory duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Licensure & Certification: Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or Instructional II Teaching Certificate Required Endorsement: Mathematics 7-12 Skills & Abilities Strong command of high school mathematical concepts, instructional pedagogy, and state standards. Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Demonstrated ability to analyze student data to drive instruction and support student growth.
