Completes established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. This position may qualify for a sign‑on bonus. Qualifications Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum Experience: None. Preferred Experience: Two years in acute care preferred. Required Certifications/Licensure: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse. Preferred Certifications / Completion Adult ED: Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire. Adult ED: AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transferred into role. Should be completed before the end of the orientation period. Adult ED: AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role. Should be completed before the end of the orientation period. Note: PALS is not required in Adult ED at North Central Baptist Hospital. Adult ED: TNCC within 1 year of date of hire or transfer into unit. Adult ED: Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer to position. Adult ED: ENPC is preferred. Pediatric ED: Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire. Pediatric ED: AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role. Should be completed before the end of the orientation period. Pediatric ED: TNCC within 1 year of date of hire or transfer into unit. Pediatric ED: Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer to position. Pediatric ED: ENPC within 18 months of hire or transfer into role.
