Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with rooming, ensuring a smooth patient flow.
• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, and administering vaccines.
• Support front office activities, including scheduling appointments and answering phones.
• Provide additional clinical support as needed to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper use of electronic medical records (EMR).

Required Skills

• Experience supporting both front and back office functions in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to take vitals, draw blood, and administer vaccines accurately.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients and staff.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Attention to detail in clinical documentation and patient care.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience, including externship.
• Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred.
• Occupational health experience is strongly preferred.
• Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required.
• Ability to work in a clinical environment supporting health education and outreach.
• Schedule flexibility to cover open days in June, with shifts varying between early morning and late afternoon hours.
• Comfort working with patients ages 2 and older.
