TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Prescott, Arizona, 86301!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience reading basic telemetry strips - Some experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA, and TIA Description: The unit specializes in Telemetry and Surgical/Neuro care. The bed capacity is 48, split between two sections. Staff ratios are typically 1 nurse to 5 patients. Common diagnoses include COVID, respiratory issues, gastrointestinal conditions, diabetes, TIA, CVA, and general, orthopedic, and spinal surgical patients. Experience with Cerner charting system is recommended due to limited orientation. Registered Nurses are required to interpret telemetry strips and sign off at least once per shift. Telemetry is monitored remotely, with dedicated technicians on site to assist. Charge Nurses do not carry a patient assignment. There are Nurse Aides with a support ratio of 1 aide for every 10-15 patients. The unit utilizes equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, high flow oxygen, and various breathing treatments. Shifts are scheduled for 12 hours, from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Self-scheduling is encouraged, but the manager will finalize the schedule. Weekend work is required for two weekends every four-week schedule. Holidays that require attendance include Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving; specific work day preferences are provided. Floating to other units may be required for qualified staff. Dress code consists of navy blue scrubs.
