Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Smithville, TN | Onsite

Duration: 6-12+ Months

Summary:

• A Mechanical Design Engineer should be familiar with Kitchen equipment (residential / industrial) especially on filtrations, Chimney, Hood, kitchen exhaust equipment etc. & does not require to be expert. The role involves understanding or filters, HAPA filters, exhaust fans, ducting, sheet metal product design, 3D modeling and technical documentation using SolidWorks / Autodesk Inventor.

Job Responsibilities:

• Familiar with any Kitchen equipment (residential / industrial) especially on filtrations, Chimney, Hood, kitchen exhaust equipment etc
• Good hands on experience on Sheet metal design for cooking appliances & kitchen equipment
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks / Inventor.
• Understand mounting of filters, fans, dampers, exhaust related equipment and components.
• Prepare BOMs, assembly drawings, GA drawings, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, electrical, sourcing, and project teams for product development.
• Support prototype development, testing, and design validation activities.

Desired Skill Set

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in Kitchen / cooking equipment
• Proficiency in SolidWorks & Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience in sheet metal design, fabricated structures, and mechanical assemblies.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Industry Background:

• All kitchen / cooking / warming equipment like charbroil, Viking range etc.
