Eagle Ridge Academy is a Tuition-Free Classical, College-Preparatory Charter School serving students and families in grades K-12. Eagle Ridge offers an academically rigorous education that uses a time-tested, Classical, liberal arts curriculum.

Eagle Ridge Academy is expanding its programming and will be opening a new Elementary site in the fall of 2026. We are currently recruiting staff for our new site located in Brooklyn Park, MN.

Counselor


Responsibilities:
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:

• Provide academic and personal/social counseling services to students.
• Counsel students individually and in small groups.
• Conduct classroom guidance activities.
• Review school data frequently to ensure that the school counseling program is meeting the academic and personal/social development of all students.
• Prepare reports, records, lists and all other required information and data.
• Encourage teacher/parent communication and community involvement.
• Assist students in conflict resolution.
• Manage crises.
• Assist in the identification of students with special needs.
• Refer students to intervention/remediation programs, as well as, academic and alternative programs to ensure academic success and personal well-being.
• Interpret student records.
• Initiate student programs.
• Refer students to appropriate school personnel and community agencies.
• Participate in SST, Child Study and 504 meetings.
• Participate in parent/teacher conferences.
• Serve as resource for school personnel and parents.
• Maintain a variety of files/records and departmental library of supplementary and reference materials.
• Follow required procedures and practices.
• Submit monthly time and task reports electronically.
• Master schedule development and resolution of schedule conflicts in MS and HS
• Perform related work as required.

Certification: A valid Minnesota teaching license (School Counselor)

Salary Range: $42,473-$79,300

Job Type: Full time, 186 days
