Full-Time CV SonographerThis full-time CV Sonographer position is responsible for performing diagnostic cardiovascular examinations in accordance with physician orders and department protocols. The role involves generating preliminary reports for physician interpretation, charting and charging procedures electronically, and collaborating with multiple professional disciplines to ensure safe, effective patient care. The CV Sonographer will interact directly with cardiologists, referring physicians, and patients while maintaining the highest professional standards. This position often operates without direct supervision and requires outstanding work ethic, integrity, and critical thinking skills.Job Duties:Performs diagnostic cardiovascular examinations per physician orders and according to department protocolsGenerates preliminary reports for physician interpretationReviews physician reports; charts and charges procedures electronicallyCollaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient careEffectively interacts with patients and significant others while maintaining professional standardsInteracts with cardiologists and referring physicians according to applicable departmental policies regarding critical findingsInteracts with managers to discuss significant findings, clinical situations, workflow status, and equipment malfunctionsPerforms non-ultrasound tests including stress tests, ambulatory cardiac monitoring, and EKGsCollaborates with outlying medical facilities to provide cardiac monitoring servicesDirects and coordinates office services and related activitiesInteracts with physicians, physician offices, and Centralized SchedulingOperates multiple computer systemsReconciles charge errors with the Business OfficeAssists Medical Records staff in gathering required dataAssists with supply acquisitionAttends required training programs and staff meetings and completes computer-based learning lessonsAvailable for on-call status as scheduled, after normal operating hours, on weekends, and on holidaysQualifications:High School DiplomaMinimum 1 year on-the-job training, or graduate of an accredited ultrasound schoolMust be registered in both Adult Cardiac and Vascular Sonography by ARDMS or CCIRDCS or RCS in adult echo, and RVT or RVS in vascular ultrasound, or one of these in combination with another ultrasound registry (e.g., general)CPR certification requiredBenefits:Tuition ReimbursementMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceRelocation AssistanceSign-On Bonus
