Field Service Mechanic - Diesel & Pump Systems

Job Description

Job Description

Join Xylem on a Day That Matters

By 8:00 a.m., you’re rolling onto a customer site. A Godwin pump needs attention before a critical dewatering job begins. You pop the hood, connect diagnostics, trace an electrical fault to a worn connector, and have the diesel engine purring before lunch. In the afternoon, you perform a full preventive service on a rental unit, update parts inventory, and flag a safety concern on a customer-owned pump—resolved before it becomes a downtime event. It’s hands-on, it’s problem-solving, and it directly supports Xylem’s purpose: solving water to create a more sustainable world .

What You’ll Do

• Execute field service work at customer locations, representing Xylem with professionalism and safety-first mindset.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, related electrical systems, and pump performance issues.
• Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, and full servicing on Godwin fleet equipment between rentals; maintain and reconcile parts inventory.
• Identify, communicate, and correct safety issues on both company and customer-owned assets.
