Tutoring of Bethesda has a specific tutoring opportunity for an exceptional educator to provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to a committed 8th-grade student in the Rockville and Potomac, Maryland areas. Why are the majority of our tutors active educators? We offer the flexibility, support, and compensation that teachers deserve!*** This is for private tutoring located in the greater Kensington, MD area. Applicants MUST live in the Greater Bethesda, Rockville, Kensington, North Bethesda, or Silver Spring, Maryland areas. This is not a virtual tutoring position! ***
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized tutoring for an 8th-grade student in core subjects, with a priority focus on math.
- Reinforce the student's strong executive functioning, study skills, and self-confidence.
- Support homework review and test preparation.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and our office about student progress
Subject Areas:
- Math: Pre-algebra, algebra 1 concepts, geometry foundations
- English/Language Arts: Reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar
- Study Skills & Executive Functioning: Organization, time management, note-taking
- Science: Life science, earth science, physical scie nce
- Test Prep: Study strategies

Ideal Candidate:
Required:- Bachelor's degree
- 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience
- Strong communication skills with students and parents
