Associate Director or Director, Medical Science Liaison, Oncology - Central region / Field-based

Associate Director / Director, MSLs Responsibilities Provide leadership, direction and management of the MSLs within the region. Develop individual talent within the MSL team including goal setting, overseeing activities, coaching, performance assessment, development, and engagement. Provide field-level scientific leadership in assigned therapeutic area(s) working collaboratively with home office medical colleagues. Collaborate effectively and compliantly with cross‑functional and alliance leadership. Assist other managers (Associate Directors) with leadership competency criteria including performance management assessments of their MSLs and recommendations for promotions. Ensure targets are clearly defined within teams, important information is cascaded effectively, and accountability is driven in the organization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and 10+ years of relevant experience in the Life Sciences industry. Advanced degree in sciences or related field with substantial experience in the pharma/biotech industry, or a combination of equivalent education and experience. Experience managing field-based medical teams directly in a supervisory/leadership capacity. Practical understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, PhRMA, and other international regulatory or ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry. Proven performance in an earlier role, including oncology experience preferred. Travel required for conferences, congresses, team meetings, mentoring/training activities, and KOL/HCP interactions as needed. Eisai Salary Transparency Language: The annual base salary range for the Associate Director or Director, Medical Science Liaison, Oncology – Central region / Field‑based is $206,600 – $271,200. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible to participate in Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan and Eisai Inc. Long Term Incentive Plan. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors including but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, and skills.
