Security Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Execute standard security solutions using established playbooks for internal product, platform, and application owners.
• Write secure, high-quality code and develop security engineering solutions using Java or Golang.
• Use approved tools to analyze incident data, identify vulnerabilities, and assess threat probability and impact.
• Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support vulnerability analysis, security documentation, code review, and security control validation while protecting sensitive data.
• Support continuity-related awareness, training, educational activities, and exercises.
• Handle moderately ambiguous requirements and own features through delivery.

Requirements

• Formal training or certification in security engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
• Experience coding in Java or Golang and general knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Experience developing security engineering solutions.
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in security engineering workflows, with the ability to validate AI-assisted code and security recommendations.
• Understanding of application resiliency and security practices.
• Ability to work with moderately ambiguous requirements and own features through delivery.
• Preferred: experience with streaming or asynchronous workloads or distributed systems patterns such as idempotency and eventual consistency.
• Preferred: hands-on experience implementing LLM-powered agents or copilots in production or advanced prototypes.
