In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining system health, applying updates, supporting cloud-based infrastructure, and ensuring systems remain reliable, compliant, and operational. You will work closely with engineers and stakeholders to support system availability and performance in both on-prem and virtualized environments.This position is ideal for an experienced system administrator who is comfortable working at the command line, enjoys maintaining stable systems, and values operational excellence.You Will Excel in This Role If You:Are experienced administering Linux systems using the command lineAre comfortable applying system updates and patches using yum or equivalent toolsEnjoy maintaining system reliability and operational stabilityAre familiar with cloud-based infrastructure and virtual machinesHave an interest in understanding how software and services are deployed on systemsTake ownership of system sustainment and complianceA Day in the Life Of:Performing Linux system administration on CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent platformsApplying system updates and patches using yum or equivalent patching repositoriesMonitoring system health and troubleshooting performance or availability issuesSupporting systems hosted in cloud environments such as AWS or AzureAssisting with system configuration, maintenance, and sustainment activitiesSupporting or interacting with network and system mapping tools such as RedSealWorking with engineering teams to ensure systems meet operational requirementsMust Have:TS/SCI with Polygraph clearanceLinux command line system administration experience on CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalentExperience applying system updates and patches using yum or equivalent toolsTen (10) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexityBachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five (5) additional years of System Administrator experience in lieu of a degreeNice to Have:Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or AzureExperience or knowledge of the RedSeal Network Mapping toolFamiliarity with software commonly deployed on systems such as Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, or NiFiExperience with Syslog or NxLogExperience with Nagios or similar monitoring toolsScripting experience using Python or PerlClearEdge is an established small business that values its employees and is committed to providing an environment where individuals can succeed and grow.
