Litigation Associate (1+ years) - Seattle

Litigation Associate(1–10 Years) Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking Associates and Senior Associates to join its growing litigation defense practice in Seattle. About the Opportunity This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of complex litigation matters, including insurance and liability defense. Associates will gain hands‑on experience across all stages of litigation while working closely with insurers and corporate clients on high‑exposure cases. Key Responsibilities Take and defend depositions; attend hearings and mediations Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal correspondence Conduct legal research using platforms such as Westlaw, Lexis, and Nexis Draft and respond to discovery requests Review and analyze documents for production Investigate claims and develop case strategies Provide regular reporting and updates to clients, including insurance carriers and insureds Prepare cases for mediation and trial, and participate in proceedings Qualifications Admission to the Washington State Bar required 1–10 years of civil litigation experience Experience in insurance defense or liability-related matters is a plus Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Compensation & Benefits Salary range: approximately $125,000 – $200,000, depending on experience Performance‑based bonuses, including additional monthly incentives Student loan repayment assistance Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement) Flexible paid time off and hybrid work arrangements Wellness benefits and parental leave offerings Why This Role Work on a wide variety of litigation matters, including high‑exposure claims Join a collaborative and growing litigation team Gain hands‑on experience with meaningful client interaction Strong mentorship and professional development opportunities Hybrid work flexibility #J-18808-Ljbffr Permanent Placements LLC
