Part-Time School Crossing Guard

GENERAL PURPOSE
Reports to a predetermined location to help children cross the roadway in the safest possible manner. Instructs school children on safe crossing techniques.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Promote and follow the City's Mission Statement, values and expectations. Learn and comply with all regulations set by the Department of Transportation regarding school crossing zones. Be reliable, dependable, and mentally alert. Use good judgement in determining when it is safe to cross the road. Interact and communicate well with the public, co‑workers, and particularly school children. Be willing and able to work and move about the crossing in all types of weather conditions.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
