Position Overview

Join our team at a leading healthcare facility known for its high-quality patient care. We are seeking dedicated healthcare professionals to work in a stepdown unit, with the potential to float to various departments, including emergency and progressive care.

Shift Details

• Day Shift: 3 x 12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
• Night Shift: 3 x 12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Rotating shifts may be required based on operational needs.
• MUST work at least every other holiday.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the stepdown unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and record vital signs, administer medications, and assist with patient care activities.
• Potentially float to care for patients in units J1-2, J33, and the emergency department.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in a relevant specialty is required.
• PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Active Permanent Ohio license or Compact State license must be held in hand upon application.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required.

Additional Information

• COVID-19 and flu vaccination are required, with medical/religious exemptions accepted.
• Travelers will undergo ECG rhythm recognition testing and SafeMedicate during orientation, with acceptable scores required.
• Candidates with background checks or license hits will not be considered.
• Travel candidates must be nicotine-free, with a negative drug screen needed within 12 months of the start date.
