Room Attendant/HousekeeperThe Homewood Suites New Braunfels hotel is hiring for a positive, self driven, dependable Room Attendant/Housekeeper to join the team! This position requires attention to detail, efficient cleaning ability, problem solving, multitasking, speed and organization. This is a position within a fast pace and team oriented workplace environment. This hotel position is an essential team member in assisting our hotel guests have the highest quality experience and representation while staying in our hotel facilities.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Proficiently clean all assigned guest roomsStock housekeeping cartsReplace guest amenities and supplies in roomsMake beds and fold sheets up to company standardsRemove trash, dirty linens and room service itemsAssist guests promptly and accurately with questions, complaints or requestsProvide friendly and courteous service to hotel guestsUpdate status of guest rooms using hotel provided methodsComplete daily checklistsQuickly and efficiently clean and fold laundry; deliver to storage areasPrepare and organize laundry area and linen storage; clean laundry area and linen storageAssist with hotel events when in need to assure guest satisfactionRespect guest privacy and security by using hotel protocol when entering guest roomsBe proficient with property security, key control procedures, as well as fire, flood and weather-related safety proceduresMaintain cleanliness of all assigned areasMaintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assetsReport any lost and found items to proper staff using hotel protocolCommunicate accurate information to other departments such as workorders, room status, guest service requirements, etc.Frequent contact with hotel guests and employeesObtain executive housekeeper’s signature on his/her work assignment sheet and tasksComplete any hotel related task requested by direct manager or General managerSchedule requirements include flexible availability to work shifts that vary. This position includes working day shifts that may be extended hours depending on company needs. This position also includes working weekends and holidays.Essential physical functions include the ability to walk, stand and bend for extended periods of time.
