Clin Lab Technologist II - Chemistry

Responsibilities Lab Technologist performs tests that aid clinicians in detection and diagnosis of disease and/or monitor the progress of defined illnesses or treatments initiated by a physician. Perform testing and compile reports on laboratory specimens. Document test results accurately and legibly. Use effective written and verbal communication to cooperate with customers and employees. Perform maintenance and quality control procedures. Use automated equipment and instruments, microscopes, cell counters, and other sophisticated laboratory equipment. Exercise independent judgement and responsibility with minimal supervision, within specialties or subspecialties for which the technologist is qualified. Be directed by the Laboratory Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor. May be exposed to infectious and hazardous chemicals as outlined in the department’s Chemical Hygiene Plan. Qualifications Requires clinical laboratory experience, education, training, and experience in relevant specialties or subspecialties.
