Procurement Specialist I

Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons. Description The Procurement Specialist I position is responsible for timely and economical procurement and delivery of parts/materials, equipment and services used in Clark Pacific’s manufacturing operations. Under the supervision of the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Specialist, I will coordinate the day-to-day fulfillment of material requirements and assigned vendors to ensure timely material procurement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with staff, projects, and proprietary information. Fulfill purchase requisitions, bills of materials, and other data into tracking software as released. Reconcile invoice issues to enable supplier payment. Close Purchase Orders as dictated by job close requirements. Place Purchase Orders as released by request management system. Escalate reported supply issues to the Procurement Lead for resolution. Assist Procurement team with project work as needed. Follow up with vendors on shipments and inform requesters on delivery timeline. Interface with other departments to maintain Clark Pacific Core Values. Other duties as assigned. Key Interfaces Internal Inventory Control Production Field Accounts Payables External Key Metrics and Deliverables Timely processing of Purchase Orders Materials shortage escalation Immediate action on Vendor payment escalations Skills and Abilities Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as effective listening and engagement with all levels of the organization. Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Ability to build strong relationships and engage and motivate teams representing diverse backgrounds and viewpoints; exceptionally collaborative. Excellent organizational skills to drive topics with multiple stakeholders/interests. Maintain a positive attitude while maintaining the ability to process and learn quickly in a dynamic environment with multiple tasks in process while not losing sight of varying deadlines. Problem solving skills that aim to remedy and prevent reoccurrence. Comfortable escalating issues while maintaining positive relationships with team members and other organizations. Passionate about Clark Pacific’s vision and mission; able to promote, demonstrate, and communicate the mission, values, and core competencies of Clark Pacific to others. Ability to read plans and blueprints. Exceptionally detail oriented, with the ability to follow directions, both verbal and written. Able to exercise appropriate discretion when handling confidential and/or sensitive information. Display willingness and interest in stepping up into greater leadership role if the situation requires or the opportunity presents itself. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite programs and Viewpoint. General in-person office environment will be experienced. There will be periodic exposure to manufacturing environments which may present hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery. There will be periodic exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme cold and extreme heat, wet and/or humid environments. Physical Demands Frequent: Sitting at a desk, utilizing computers and phones, standing and walking. Periodic: Repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements. Occasional: Business travel (less than 5%). Bending squatting, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Experience and Education 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role is required. High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Knowledge of View Point Software is preferred.
