Medical Technician

DutiesHelpReceive patient's specimens of blood, urine, stool, microbiological and viral cultures, tissue, body fluids and cytological specimens.Check that all specimens are properly and completely labeled.Prepare specimens for analysis, ensuring that the physiologic properties are maintained.Ensure timely distribution to laboratory sections of all specimens received.Perform and calculate manual cell counts and properly identifies abnormal and normal blood cell populations.Collect, test, and process donated blood into treatment specific components.
