VENTEON and HARVARD RESOURCE SOLUTIONS are hiring a detail-oriented ACCOUNTANT to provide support in Commerce Township, MI. Our construction client is seeking an individual to perform accounting activities and provide support for the month-end closing process. PAY $60,000 to $70,000 annually plus PTO and benefits. Requirements of the Accountant: College degree is desired. HS Diploma required. Knowledge of GAAP required. 4–5+ years of hands-on accounting experience. Experience with A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, creating journal entries and performing general ledger reconciliations. Experience with debits and credits. Knowledgeable in inventory and job-costing. Person who enjoys working with numbers and strives for accuracy. Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online. Strong MS Excel capability. Duties of the Accountant: Work closely with the Finance Director to ensure accounting tasks are completed timely and accurately. Maintain vendor and customer account information in the system. Enter vendor invoices, code them correctly to the job / general ledger account code, and process vendor payments bi-weekly. Generate customer invoices according to specific contract terms including work-in-progress invoices. Process sales transactions daily. Provide support for month-end close by preparing and entering journal entries and accruals, performing reconciliations, and producing financial reports. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and balance-sheet accounts. Support the broader team with additional bookkeeping tasks as needed to help close the books accurately and on time each month. #J-18808-Ljbffr Venteon
