Director of Therapy

Startin salary: $90,000 - $100,000 Annually

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Therapy to join our team at The Grand at Utica, a premier provider of post-acute care and rehabilitation services in Utica, NY. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our therapy department in providing high-quality care to our patients and residents. Responsibilities:

• Lead the Therapy Department : Oversee the daily operations of the therapy department, ensuring a high level of quality care and service delivery to patients and residents.

• Recruit and Manage Staff : Recruit, train, and manage a team of therapists, including occupational, physical, and speech therapists, to ensure optimal staffing levels and patient care.

• Develop and Implement Care Plans : Work with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient and resident.

• Monitor and Evaluate Care : Monitor patient progress and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance care delivery.

• Collaborate with Other Departments : Work closely with other departments, including nursing, physicians, and support services, to ensure a seamless continuum of care.

• Comply with Regulations : Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in occupational therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology : A master's degree in occupational therapy, physical therapy, or speech-language pathology is required.

• Licensure and Certification : Current licensure and certification in the state of New York, including any relevant specialty certifications.

• Minimum 3 Years of Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience as a therapist or in a leadership role in a rehabilitation setting.

• Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
