RN - Interventional Radiology

Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule (07:00 - 17:30), Monday - Friday.

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in conscious sedation and telemetry, with a strong understanding of Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures, including stroke management.

Responsibilities:

• Perform conscious sedation and telemetry monitoring for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care and patient outcomes.
• Provide pre and post-procedural care in the Radiology Pre Post Unit (RPPU).
• Efficiently manage a high volume of cases, averaging 16 cases per day across three IR rooms.
• Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring availability for emergencies within 30 minutes of notification.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Current RN license (NC or Compact License accepted).
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required; PALS certification preferred.
• Experience with ventilator management, procedural sedation administration, and neuro/stroke procedures.
