Position Overview

A growing telecommunications infrastructure organization is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Specialist to support warehouse operations and inventory management. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating material distribution for project teams, receiving and tracking materials, and ensuring warehouse organization. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with project managers, field supervisors, and vendors.

This position is open due to the need for dedicated inventory oversight and warehouse coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform monthly inventory counts and inventory audits within the inventory management system.
• Coordinate with project managers to prepare materials needed for field crews.
• Pick, stage, and organize materials for aerial and underground construction teams.
• Communicate daily with project managers and field supervisors regarding material usage and transfers.
• Maintain warehouse and yard organization, ensuring materials are properly labeled and easy to locate.
• Transfer and allocate materials to the appropriate projects within the inventory management system.
• Process material check-ins and check-outs on a daily basis.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for material requests and replenishment needs.
• Help maintain an organized warehouse and storage yard.
• Learn to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and front-end loaders.

Required Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, material handling, or a related field.
• Experience working with construction, telecommunications, utility, or infrastructure materials is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with computers and inventory management systems.
• Experience working within a Microsoft-based environment is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of warehouse operations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics or similar inventory management software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable.
• Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

• Report to the same warehouse location each day.
• Collaborative team environment with opportunities for independent work.
• Typical schedule is 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM , though hours may vary based on operational needs.

Business Need

This position supports continued company growth, increasing project demand, and the need for efficient material management across ongoing telecommunications infrastructure projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Perry Hall, MD.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Perry Hall,MD.
