Job description Job Title: Laboratory Technician – Boston Location: Boston Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP / September Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time | Long-term GSL Education is seeking an organised and reliable Science Laboratory Technician to support a secondary school in Boston . This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in Science who enjoys working in a practical and supportive school environment. The successful candidate will assist the Science department by preparing equipment and materials for lessons, ensuring laboratories are safe, organised, and fully equipped. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and set up equipment for Science lessons and experiments Maintain laboratory equipment and materials Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times Support teachers during practical lessons where required Monitor and organise stock levels within the department Maintain a clean, safe, and organised laboratory environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have: A strong interest in Science or previous laboratory experience Good organisational and time management skills Attention to detail and a proactive attitude The ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience in a school or laboratory setting (desirable) An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What GSL Education Offers: Competitive daily pay rates Opportunities in supportive secondary school environments Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Valuable experience within school Science departments Potential for long-term opportunities Please keep in mind that this role requires strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
