We are seeking a part-time (32 hours per week) Residential Re-Entry Specialist (Youth Residential Mentor) for our Coventry House program in Coventry, RI. At Community Solutions, Inc. For over 60 years, we’ve been a pioneer in community-based services, transforming lives through innovative programs for individuals involved in the child welfare, juvenile justice, or criminal justice systems.As a Residential Re-entry Specialist/ Youth Residential Mentor, you will utilize your strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills on a daily basis. You will work closely with other team members to develop and implement individualized plans for each resident and provide ongoing support and guidance throughout their stay. Additionally, you will use your organizational and time-management skills to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident progress and behavior. Your ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations will be essential in this role. You'll receive ongoing training to ensure you can support clients with care and compassion.Collaborative Environment: Work closely with the Program Director, , and external stakeholders in a supportive, team-oriented setting.Growth Opportunities: Expand your expertise with training, certification, and professional development options in a growing organization.What You'll Do:Provide direct care and supervision to youth residents in a residential settingDevelop and implement individualized plans for each resident, in collaboration with other team membersProvide ongoing support and guidance to residents throughout their stayMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident progress and behaviorEnsure that all residents receive the necessary support and resources to successfully reintegrate into their communitiesConduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift.Conduct common area, room searches and perimeter searches as assigned and document results.Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility and document results.Complete house counts every hour from Midnight to 8am and every 2 hours from 8am to 10pm and document results.Transport Clients as needed in a Company vehicle.Conduct monthly emergency drills.Secure urines from same sex clients and complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation.Supervise all client visitation. Sign all visitors and contractors in and out of the facility.Complete intake on all new arrivals prior to the end of your shift. Facilitate client orientation as assigned.Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility.Monitor clients self-administration of medication.Starting Salary: $19.98 per hour, plus applicable shift differentialsSchedule : Friday-Monday 7:00am to 3:00pmWhat We’re Looking For:High School Diploma plus 4 years experience in the social service or criminal justice field.Bachelors degree plus one year experience in the social service or criminal justice field preferred.
