Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor

Location: 2700 S Custer Ave, Wichita, KS 67217; On-Site position working in office full time

FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt

Summary: The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor oversees a team of manufacturing engineers & process specialists responsible for improving production processes, supporting new product introductions, resolving manufacturing issues, and driving continuous improvement across operations. This role ensures engineering activities align with safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers, providing technical guidance and coaching.
• Oversee process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing flow.
• Coordinate engineering support for production, including troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance, program management) on initiatives and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure engineering documentation, work instructions, and process standards are accurate and updated.
• Support new product or process introductions by planning resources, validating processes, and ensuring readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and internal policies.

Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years of leadership experience within manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing technology, industrial engineering, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated success managing engineering teams in a production environment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP/MES systems.
• Background in aerospace, automotive, or other regulated industries.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

• Office & Shop Floor Adaptability: Split-environment role requiring frequent sitting and working with a computer in an office setting, balanced with periodic stints walking and standing on the manufacturing shop floor to work with operations teams. May require occasional lifting while supporting operations.
• Environmental Exposure: Comfort with working primarily in a climate-controlled office environment with occasional exposure to the cold, heat, and variable noise levels found in a manufacturing environment.
