• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Rotation: Required
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Volume: Approximately 120 visits per day
• Setting: High-acuity emergency care environment serving patients across the lifespan

Job Requirements

• Active California RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• NIHSS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department or Emergency Room RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, team-oriented ED environment
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based nursing care to emergency patients of all ages, including adults, pediatrics, infants, and geriatrics
• Perform thorough assessments, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Carry out common ED procedures such as IV initiation, Foley catheter insertion, dressing changes, and telemetry monitoring
• Administer medications safely and support management of high-acuity and unstable patients
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Provide clear patient and family education during stressful and time-sensitive situations
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly in Epic
• Support a culture of safety, professionalism, accountability, and patient advocacy
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs in a fast-paced emergency setting
