Project Cost Accounting Manager Los Angeles County , CA Contract Accounting Management $50/HR to $70/HR 08/20/2026 Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Project Cost Accounting Manager to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $50.00 to $60.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities: Manage project accounting activities by tracking costs evaluating project performance and supporting financial reporting requirements. Prepare and maintain work in progress schedules to support accurate revenue recognition and project reporting. Collaborate with project teams to review forecasts budgets and cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle. Analyze project financial results and identify potential risks variances and cost concerns for management review. Support audits and provide financial information that ensures compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies. Requirements: A Bachelor degree in accounting finance or a related field. 4+ years of project accounting or cost accounting experience in a project based environment. Demonstrate knowledge of revenue recognition principles project accounting and work in progress reporting. Possess experience with inventory accounting financial analysis and enterprise accounting systems. Maintain proficiency with Excel and other business software used for reporting and financial management. Qualifications: Apply strong analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate project costs financial performance and reporting accuracy. Communicate effectively with project managers operational teams and leadership stakeholders. Maintain exceptional attention to detail when reviewing financial records forecasts and accounting schedules. Demonstrate leadership abilities through training guidance and support of accounting processes and team initiatives.
