About the Role Our client, a distinguished hotel group operating in **Welkom, Free State**, is seeking a strategic and data-driven Hotel Revenue Manager. This critical role is responsible for maximizing room revenue and optimizing pricing strategies across all properties under their purview. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of revenue management principles, market dynamics, and forecasting techniques. You will analyze market trends, competitor activities, and historical data to develop and implement effective pricing and inventory management strategies. This position demands a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for revenue growth and a strong ability to collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams. We are looking for an analytical thinker with a proven track record of success in driving RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) and occupancy rates. You will be instrumental in shaping the commercial success of the hotel, ensuring optimal room rates and availability based on demand forecasts. The role requires a keen understanding of the **Free State** hospitality market and a commitment to achieving ambitious revenue targets. The successful candidate will leverage advanced reporting tools and possess excellent presentation skills to communicate strategies and results to senior management. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive revenue management strategies to optimize occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR). Conduct market analysis, competitor research, and demand forecasting to inform pricing decisions. Manage room inventory and pricing across all distribution channels, including OTAs and direct bookings. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as RevPAR, Occupancy, and ADR. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align strategies and drive revenue. Prepare regular revenue reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management. Identify new revenue opportunities and implement strategies to capitalize on them. Manage relationships with Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and other distribution partners. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all revenue management systems. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in revenue management. Requirements A minimum of 4 years of experience in hotel revenue management or a related analytical role. Proven success in implementing revenue management strategies that have increased RevPAR and occupancy. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools. Excellent understanding of hotel operations and distribution channels. Proficiency with hotel revenue management software and Property Management Systems (PMS). Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
