Phlebotomist Float

Position LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join their team in Laguna Hills, CA. Work schedule is Monday to Friday with hours varying between 6:00am-6:00pm. Additional hours and rotating weekends may be required. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT). Preferred Qualifications 1 or more years of experience as a phlebotomist. Current or prior experience with LabCorp. Additional Job Standards In lieu of state license requirement, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may satisfy the requirement. 6 months or more of phlebotomy experience with geriatric and pediatric patients. Pass a standardized color blindness test. Be at least 21 years of age. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Pay Range $23.00-$33.00 per hour. Float incentive: Additional $1.50/hr plus mileage reimbursement.
